10668_10151534253397196_612236454_nYup, another double. That’s okay, as I was well rested, seeing as I didn’t work out yesterday.

I continue to have a wonderfully fun time coaching the Boot Camps, and as many athletes are registering for additional sessions it appears as if they are enjoying themselves as well.

I worked out at 10:30 so that I would have enough time to get ready for my lunch date with Michael Kelley. Remember him? As I told him, with my anger issues and his ass we should be referred to as The Fat and Furious.

I completed tomorrow’s programmed metcon. Wow. And ouch.

9-min AMRAP
—3 burpees
—6 slam balls (30#)
—9 shoulder to overhead (95#)

I completed all but the last round unbroken, as I just couldn’t make it through 9 unbroken push jerks.

As much as I love burpees, completing them today was almost nightmarish. How awesome is that?

Midway through the workout I thought, “My heart is going to explode.” I kept working nonetheless.

I didn’t miss a single slam ball, yo, and I made sure to stand up after 6th rep. Stand up and squeeze my buttocks.

I completed 7 rounds + 7 reps. I was done for the day.

Alas, I wanted to try the metcon programmed for Saturday to see if it needed tweaking. What I completed isn’t the exact metcon because, well, it needed tweaking.

SPOILER ALERT: If you don’t want to know that Saturday’s metcon is based upon, read no further. (Steve, I know the difference between “further” and “farther”.)

3 RFT
—45 lateral bar hops
—21 barbell jumping air squats (53#)
—15 American KB swings (52#)

Lateral bar hops and KB swings were completed in unbroken sets. Uhm, jumping air squats were not — not even the 1st set. It’s been far too long since I’ve completed, and it showed.

Once again, my heart felt as if it was going to explode. How awesome is that?

I completed in a painfully slow 6:27.

I don’t miss my former job even one single tiny iota.
